Mo Duncan, the London born businessman, grew up in ‘Inner City London’ under harsh social and financial conditions during the 60’s and 70’s.

Born to immigrant parents from Jamaica, he attended local West London comprehensive schools, despite the poor quality of these schools, he still left school being groomed for university.

He resisted this direction and decided to gain employment, starting at the lowest rung, at one stage earning £2.50 per hour, working 7 days a week, 15 hours a day, for many years.

Now a self made millionaire, he continues the third generation of businessmen in his family.  The owner of Platinum Hall and major charity donor has a long and distinguished career in business and security.

He is a fellow and patron of the Zoological Society of London, and also a member of the Development Advisory Committee, for this historical organisation that operates London Zoo, Whipsnade Wild Animal Park, and the Institute of Zoology.

He has studied conservation ecology, specialising in ‘maintaining biodiversity’ through Lancaster University.

He sponsors research into bear behaviour and conservation, in Montana, USA and has sponsorship links with several Zoological collections in the UK.

His security experience is extensive, he is a certificated range officer and firearms instructor.  He has trained in ‘Control & Restraint’ techniques at Broadmoor Hospital and has studied Ving Tsun Gung-Fu, Judo and Western Boxing.

He holds ‘City & Guilds’ in Conflict Management, and is licensed by the government to work in security, event security, key holding, door supervision, retail stores and licensed premises.

Starting in security in 1984, he was the head of training for the largest retail security company in the UK, a £31 million per annum business.  He has been quoted on TV, radio and in several magazines.  Most notably, being interviewed on live TV, BBC1, Carlton, Anglia, Radio Five live, BBC Three Counties Radio, BBC Wales, FHM Magazine, GQ Magazine and trade journals.
